mojo metal design was set up in January 2007 by Moss Gaynor and Joe O'Leary. Both are graduates of the University of Limerick (Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering 1998 respectively). Having worked in the Agri, electronic and pharmaceutical industry for nearly 10 years they have merged this experience with their love for the crafts to bring you a partnership committed to a high quality of work and customer satisfaction.
Located a few miles outside Clonakilty in West Cork, they have transformed an old stone flax mill into a modern-day working forge. Their original and innovative designs using traditional blacksmithing skills and contemporary methods allows them to create high quality iron work which catches the eye.
Over the past few years, Moss and Joe have worked on an impressive range of projects, from large commissions for new builds, to restoration projects, to small pieces with a very individual flair.

After studying and working as an engineering technician in Dublin, Brendan Power returned to college to study fine furniture making at the Letterfrack Institute of Technology in Galway. This led him to specialize in an art form called pyrography. Pyrography is the art of burning images into wood.
Originally the traditional craft of pyrography was carried out with a hot poker. Nowadays, there are specialized machines which heat up a thin wire allowing the artist to burn continuously for several hours.
Brendan has just recently designed a patented pedal powered pyrography machine which enables him to create his work outdoors whilst generating the electricity required.
When not working out of his studio in Kinsale Co. Cork, Brendan can be found travelling around Ireland demonstrating this relatively unheard of art form. Each of his pieces consist of a unique illustration and are finished to the highest standard. Brendan sells his work at exhibitions, galleries and art festivals around Ireland.
