Kinsale Arts Week 2010 - Ballinspittle - 10th - 18th July
This year’s exhibition promises to be even bigger and more interesting than before... with many new exhibitors including 2-D artists, sculptors and a team of ‘designer blacksmiths’. Pat O’Dwyer will be giving a demonstration entitled ‘Painting with a Knife’ at 2pm every day, and Adrian Brentnall will be demonstrating and talking about stained glass during the day on the 11th  and 15th July.

The exhibition starts with an opening party (by invitation) on Sunday 11th July.

Fastnet Line (the operators of the new Cork-Swansea ferry) have kindly donated a prize of a ticket for two adults and their car to travel on the MV Julia - absolutely free. To enter the draw for this amazing prize - simply sign the Visitors’ Book at the Exhibition. The draw will take place at 4pm on Sunday 18th July.

So - if you are in Kinsale for the Arts Week - come out to Ballinspittle and see what is probably the biggest single exhibition of the whole Arts Week!

Kinsale Arts Week 2009 - Ballinspittle - 11th - 19th July
2009’s exhibition, part of the Minibus Artist’s “West Trail” from Kinsale, involves 30 participants and a wide range of Art & Craft including 2D work in various media, a selection of gemstone, beaded and fused-glass jewellery, hand-made candles, stained glass and pyrography.

The Artists were present throughout the week, enabling visitors to meet and discuss any items of interest. There were various special events throughout the week including a painting demonstration by Patrick O’Dwyer.

The exhibition featured the preview of a collaborative project by Fiona Calnan, Noreen O’Callaghan and Mundo Capoeira: Small Step Big Leap – a visual study of Capoeira from the inside out. It is an exciting work-in-progress which explores this dynamic martial art through drawing, photography and performance. The 2D work will be on display throughout the course of the exhibition while a Capoeira Demonstration will take place on Sunday 12th July during the official opening.

The exhibition was open from 10am to 8pm every day except for Sunday 19th when it closes at 4pm.
There is ample free parking at Ballinspittle Community Hall.

Kinsale Arts Week - Ballinspittle - July 2008
Our first ever group exhibition - which was a resounding success.
Said by some to be the best display in the whole of the Kinsale Arts Week - but we’re far too modest to admit to it!
The opening party was such a success that we had another one - half-way through the week.
We fully intend to repeat the whole event as part of KAW 2009..
